Like a Running Event…Smelly

Are you thinking about competing in ANKC Scentwork Trials this year? Or do you just want to have the chance to do more sniffing and spend some time with your dog and just adding a little extra spark to your evening walk?

Look no further!

We have just launched a new event for you to try… SNIFFATHON

Sniffathon is a timed blind search which will test your abilities. You can choose your distance and pace (number of hides and time limit) and start your search! You can choose the level that best suits your Team’s ability or go the distance and choose a more challenging search. No matter what the result the important thing is to go out there and sniff. This searches will be conducted trial style with your trainer as a judge and will be timed. You will have a start line and time start as you and your dog cross the start line.

Searches start at 5:30pm, and each entrants will have a time slot allocated. Your time slot is just you and your dog and you will be placed in a running order so you can show up only for that time and leave afterwards if you have a dog needing space.

Location varies but it will be a public on leash space (Curtin Uni Campus or UWA Uni Campus)

• 2 hides with a max 5min time

• 5 hides with a max of 15min time

• 10 hides with a max of 20min time

We will record your time and you will get a ribbon and at the 2025 End of Year event we will give a prize for the 3 fastest times in each distance!
